Qualified in law; expertise in governance, strategy and organisational improvement; experienced company director.

Kate’s experience in the sector stems from over 25 years of work in corporate governance and strategy consulting. She has worked closely with the boards of client organisations and has held many directorships. Kate was also a facilitator in the Company Directors’ Course, a comprehensive director program offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Internationally, Kate was an integral part in developing an inaugural governance program for Thailand’s Institute of Directors. She was also an alliance group member for a governance initiative in China funded by the World Bank and AUSAID.

Kate’s board experience includes directorships of Integrated Research Ltd, The South Australian TAB, Festival City Broadcasters Ltd and Saab Systems Pty Ltd and, chairmanship of Saab ITS, Bassett Consulting Engineers and accounting firm, Accru Harris Orchard. She currently holds directorships in LBT Innovation Ltd (an ASX listed company) and chairs MGA Whittles Group Future Directions Committee.

Kate is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Law Society of South Australia. She was a committee member for the independent review of the governance of soccer in Australia as well as a member of the Independent Selection Committee, University of Adelaide.

Supports the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AEIF)

This wonderful foundation is helping send children to Boarding Schools across Australia. I was so impressed when I heard a radio interview given by the CEO explaining the real difference it is making to children’s lives.

May 2013 – The Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) this week launched a $100 million campaign to help send 7,000 Indigenous students to boarding schools and university residential colleges around the country
